All -

Recently, I have been receiving numerous emails about EQW and the whereabouts of JSD. Some have been nice inquiries asking if I can help find him; others have been somewhat derogatory saying that since I no longer care about EQW - why can't I just release the source code?

Just to clarify a few things; I am not the author of EQWindows. I do not have the source code - nor do I play EverQuest anymore. I am merely the site host and domain holder for EQWindows.com, EQHackers.com, and EQHacker.com. During my tenure in EverQuest, I hosted a number of EverQuest related sites - this being one of them. I have no affilations with JSD other than some guy who hosted EQW for him because I was a fan. I am unable to contact him; the last I heard from him was early in June 2004.

Just Some Dude's last visit to the EQWindows board was Jun 30, 2004. During the time of his last update, I do know that he was no longer playing EverQuest, and had not been playing for quite some time. While I cannot speak for Just Some Dude, the chances of him returning to update EQWindows again are very slim to non-existant. To those of you not happy with the windowing provided by the native EverQuest client; I'd like to direct you to LavishSoft WinEQ. There is a both a free version and a subscription version; the free version contains all of the features that EQW had while the subscription contains many enhancements and access to the other GamingTools products.

The site is not going anywhere; I will continue to keep it alive - but please do not continue to email me asking for JSDs information, or updates for EQWindows. I am unable to provide either.
